You are welcome between 18 and 21h to be the first one to check out the works of the participating artists. About "Hitching A Ride With Foreigners Everywhere" This exhibition is linked to the theme of the 2024 Venice Biennale, curated by Adriano Pedrosa, "Foreigners Everywhere.": It explores the idea that everyone, regardless of location, is both surrounded by and is intrinsically a foreigner, highlighting the universality of the outsider experience. The exhibition focuses on artists who are immigrants, expatriates, and diasporic individuals, to emphasize diverse perspectives and the shared human condition of being a foreigner. We madly invite you to celebrate with us the opening of Mad Society's new exhibition at Stichting ZAMEN called “THIS IS THE ONLY THING I GOT LEFT,” a space to share personal stories through clothing items of sentimental value. The collaborative exhibition provides a platform for people who cross paths in their day-to-day lives but don’t often get to hear each other.
People of Amsterdam Noord will bring the clothes they’d never throw away because of the stories and memories around them. Our goal is to create a shared space where diverse backgrounds and life stories intersect, allowing everyone to find connections and experience shared emotions.

In these turbulent times, characterised by uncertainty and challenges on a global scale, art is a powerful means to explore and express the complexity of our contemporary reality. This theme invites profound reflection on the duality of human existence and the beauty often found amidst grimness. It's about exploring contrasts, finding light in darkness, and discovering aesthetics in the most unexpected and sometimes uncomfortable places.

One of KMN's objectives is to help artists professionalize and help them further their artistic career. What better way to support our artists, than to host our very own groupshow! We would like to invite you to join us for the opening on the 12th of April.
